Just recieved an email asking if I can take a Geophagus Jurupari its only 4" just wondering where to put it! lol I have a choice of:
190l with baby blue acara & Keyholes
260L green sevs and geophagus abalios 6"
300l red spot sev, gold sev, diddy oscar & brazilliensis (can move brazilliensis to 400l)

depending on size either 190 or 260 :)

Will have to see how big a 4" it is when it arrives, I dont think the abalios at 6" will take kindly to it, so I think it will have to be the 190 till its a little bigger. Only those tanks have suitable substrate for a geo. Thanks wills :good:

Agreed. Any larger geos would probably make the newcomer's life a misery. And the new fish should go just fine with acaras and keyholes.

BTW, it's Satanoperca jurupari these days, being considered distinctly different enough from the Geophagus genus. :p

Lol I didnt even realise I missed that in the topic just saw the Jurupari bit haha. Probs would be worth getting a picture when you can for us to ID it or have a crack your self because if its being sold as Geophagus Jurupari it could be any of the Satanopercas also these do like to be in groups like all geos so once you know which it is maybe try and source some friends?

Thanks both, will see what it is when it turns up

He/she is here and from googling it looks like Satanoperca jurupari "Orinoco" although a little stressed. Ended up putting it in the 190l with the baby ba as its far too little for my other tanks. Will have to get hunting for a home for him with some others.

 another tank    not enough days in the week for water changes
No sadly this little fella will have to be re-homed to someone with a big enough tank and hopefully some friends of the same species, he will stay here till the right home is found :good: , but if he doesnt stop peeping round the door through the glass at me with that cute little face he might stay

Haha, you big softy. You'll probably sit there waiting for he/she to do it just so you can proclaim outloud "Awww he/she is staying - i love him/her!" :shout: Wouldnt blame you if you did though,

I am not sitting at the pc watching him peep round the kitchen door....... eerrrmm yeah ok I am  I am just keeping an eye on him making sure he has settled in ok. I am quite safe so long as I dont name him!

Walkers shurrup mate I dont need encouraging  He looks like a Gomez to me with his little black mark on his top lip, then IF I did get some friends they could be the rest of the addams family

haha that would be awesome

Sorry ill shut my mouth in future
