I treat honey gouramis as social fish, so more than one would be better than one and personally, I would not keep only one.

Rift Lake cichlids, like those from Lake Malawi, are only compatible with other Rift Lake cichlids from the same lake (with a couple of exceptions). I recommend you do some basic research on them so you know what to avoid, but they're definitely not an option unless you dedicate an aquarium to them. Only South American dwarf cichlids are even remotely compatible with your current set-up, so those are the ones you should be looking at, if you're reconsidering cichlids

so 4 red honey gourami's would be good? - 1 male 3 ore all
also, would i be able to put the honey gouramis in before ALL the cory's?
i found a LFS that is willing to order them for me, just want to know if i can do it now or will i have to wait.

EDIT- looks like my dad can give me a lone so i can have 3 more cory's by the end of the week

Please don't get too excited and stock slowly

I recommend that you get numbers up to 6 Corys first, then either go for honeys or more Corys.

Whether 4 honey gouramis fit into the tank or not depends on the temperament of the individual fish. If you get placid ones, 3-4 should be fine, if you get aggressive ones, 2 might be better or worse.. but whatever you go for, do not get more than one male!

Do you have suitable food for the Corys? Sinking, meaty pellets, or suchlike?

yeah i have the sinking pellets and yeah i will stock slowely

how would i tell if they are nice or not if they order ones expecially for me?

With great difficulty, by observing how they react to each other and so on.
