hi
we've seen little clear shrimpy things( about 3/4 inch big ) that are sold as live food for fish at our local lfs. we thought about adding a couple to our tank for something different but will they end up as dinner for some of our fish???? dont have a clue. we have neon tetras(dont suppose theyll tackle them but you never know) tiger/green barbs, corys, red eye tetras, danios & a cae.
we dont want to buy them as food :)

with your residents, it might be okay. maybe get some that are bigger. i bought 10 as food for my puffers and gobies, but no one ate any and now they've grown and are great for cleaning up the bottom of the tank.
by the way, your loach might be happy if you got him a couple more buddies, they do like to be in small groups........................

thanks
we did have 2 loaches but sadly one was sick when we bought him & died after 2 days - we've been on the lookout for a friend for our loach but our local shops havent had any for ages. but we'll keep looking :)

Hi there.

I actually went out and bought 10 of the little guys (the shrimp) and added them to my tank with my algea eater. He didn't bother them and they are really great to watch.

Just be careful when doing water changes. They don't seem to be able to handle chlorine well at all. I've pretty much lost all of them now. Even with adding dechlorinator.
