Im wondering whether when tanks are quite as bold and colourful as this - is it recomended to keep lighting lower - or perhaps have a UV free bulb?

ouch my eyes.

Why is it when people say "oh its my daughters first tank" people go "oh ok then!". Never quite worked that out Im sure a more natural tank with wood/sand/plants is more educational, especially when it comes to plucking pets out of nature for what is effectively home entertainment.

However, that said, in real life i've just learnt to say "yes dear, thats lovely!" for want of a quiet life

So i'll finish by saying, what a lovely tank, i wish i had one just like it
