The other day my fry net slipped they all escaped except 2, my betta then jumped in ate one and attacked a bigger molly fry now he has no tail, and looks sorta half a fish...but he is getting better and he seems to be fine will his tail grow back?

my fighter ate the tails of 2 of my neons when i put him in my tank (he is now on his own) but the tails grew back in a few days and they are all fine, i think the tail will grow back

i think it depends on how far up the tail it was eaten. someone correct me if i am wrong. if it is actually to the root of the tail it may not grow back. if just the end then it should, can you isolate it and add some melafix?
