just found that my bristlenoses have breed and when I have looked in the juwel filter I have counted roughly 20+ fry which are nearly impossible to catch, is they a away to stop this without completly blocking up the filter.

i just posted in someone elses topic, what you can do is get some netting (i'm planning on cutting up one of my old fish nets) and stick it over the intake

that's a difficult one. I've got a juwel too and I can't think of any way of covering the slots effectively enough when the box at the back is 'glued' to the glass.

Were the fry still alive? I ask because if they've got in there and are un-hurt then I'm presuming they can get back out un-hurt.

You could try sliding a clean stocking over the top vents

any ideas on getting the ones that are in there out?

turkey baster? or a syphon with the exit tube into a net
