I have got a fry grow tank with around 35 fry in, they are about a week old and I'm thinking of adding some cherry shrimp and some snails to keep tank clean, would there be any issues with this? The tank if fully cycled with main tank water and is 50l plenty of plants and rocks, has one of my baby plecs in which is tiny.

I wasn't sure about shrimp and fry read so much about shrimp eating fry , put off buying shrimps because I keep nearly all livebearers but bought some cherry shrimp a few days ago & put them in with my Xenotoca Eiseni fry & alls well , cherry shrimp I'd put them in with your fry its nothing to worry about . The guy I got my shrimp off has around 3,000 of them with Tiger Endlers and never had a problem but his Assassin Snais were eating the shrimp so he had to move the Assasins .

Ok thanks so much I was thinking of adding four shrimp and a couple of nerite snails to keep tank hygenic as I have an air pump with won't keep it crystal as the fry need I also figure shrimp would eat any fry that die would would be good as some are still transparent and so hard to a&e so I don't want a spike in ammonia tho

I've got my guppy fry in a tank with carbon rili shrimp and ramshorn snails and they are fine. It's actually beneficial having the shrimp and snails in there as they are eating all the left over food that the fry don't eat. I've just put some day old fry in there and they are completely safe with the room mates.

Ok great thanks so much gunna add some nirite snails or whatever they're called lol and some cherry shrimp
