Freshwater Nano Tank-Help!

Don`t you just love it when that happens??? Not!!!!

Never mind, good things come to those who wait , or so they say :look: ;)

I hate leaving a fish shop empty-handed! :shout: :shout: :fun:

Know that feeling very well.....like something tearing at your guts, just willing you to buy something, just something so that you don`t have to go home with nothing??????????

Repeat after me:
"I am not obsessed with fish", "I am not obsessed with fish" :look:

Normally I just buy any other thing for my aquarium whenever something I want is sold out/out of stock, it makes me feel better! :p

Have you thought about a dwarf puffer, Carl?

Too small for my liking but thanks for the suggestion

Well after all the cr*p that I've received from the LFS's, I've decided to order a 20 litre tank online. But it's not going to be the nano cube I had hoped for, its going to be a 45 cm long bowfront tank and I'm going for a Iguwami style scape (correct me if I spelt it wrong) Im hoping to stock it with a trio of Sparkling Gourami, 6 Blue Eye Rainbowfish and 5 Yellow/Blue/Green Crystal Shrimp

I should be recieveing the aquarium on Monday morning! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Should look really nice, good choice of fish :good:

Don`t forget pics asap ;)

I will post a journal tomorrow. I used 2 different water capacity calculators and one said my tank was 25 litre and the other one said it was 30 litres.
I changed my stocking to:
3 Sparkling Gourami (top)
6 Forktails (middle)
5 Pygmy Cories/Habrosus Corys
But I think I'm overstocking
What do you guys think?

Hmm, Sorry, I actually didn`t read the post above your last one properly stating 20L I`d personally say yes you`re overstocking, but then I`m no expert.

Having the blue eyes myself I think 6 of them in a tank that size would be too much. The 5 corys seems like too much to me as well but pygmy might well be ok .....I dunno Carl , maybe it`s just me, someone else with more experience may think it`s fine :)

Thanks elisew
BTW its not a 20 litre tank, its 30 litre.
I really want the Sparkling Gourami and the Corys.
If I have:
5 Asian Rummynose Rasbora (a tiny species- grows to 2cm-less than an inch)
4 Pygmy Corys
3 Sparkling Gourami

Pygmy corys really need to be in atleast 6 IMO.
I think you could get away with
3 sparkling gourami
6 pygmy corys
and 5 small shoaling fish but i wouldnt go for the rainbows.

Glad kizno agrees, makes me feel better about doubting you having the blue-eyes. B-)

I don`t know anything about the sparkling gouramis to be honest apart from them being small, so I don`t know what the general temperament is like. Would they maybe go ok with dwarf emerald rasbora or galaxy rasbora?
I`ve just got 6 of the galaxy rasboras and the red colouring is really bright and lovely :)
