Waiting on final confirmation, but new tank is ordered due Saturday 10th September. If no one wants the tank by them it will be for a smashing!

its a shame its collection only really. i would have taken it otherwise. You could use aquarium safe sillicone sealant and cover the crack from both sides.

The laws of physics render that a pointless exercise. The panel needs replacing as the pressure of water will shatter it more - especially if it isn't sat on a propper stand. Even if it was, it'll probably leak faster than what you put in. For someone local enough and with the right expertise it is salvagable, but needs more than just a bit of sillicone lol.

not seriously... i have plenty of glass sheeting as my dad works for a glazing company. And most of it isnt double glazed either

Well if you want to pay someone to ship thats fine with me, but it is weakend with the damage to the base so might not survive a long trip. There is a cabinet that can go with it.

Seriously?.....

*walks away*

what a childish response,

yes silconing perspex flush with the base will work, best to silicone it on the inside though, i have 2 tanks that were fixed this way, a 160ltr and a 320ltr

I was looking at doing just that, the difficulty the top access is limited by a smaller opening in the top. It should howver be possible to cut the whole piece out and replace.

perspex ist that expensive really. i can get a HUGE sheet at least 2 maetes long and a metre wide for 16 quid!

Well if you want it all you need to do is arrange for it to be moved.

You could try shiply.com I will PM you the details you will need to get a quote if you are interested.

i will look into it as having probas with current tank (mysterious puddles)!

If anyone does want this tank (Blubble37 has first refusal) I will need to know by the end of tomorrow (Friday) I do not have storage space for it with the new tank due on Saturday so unless its claimed my friend and her hammer gets it :(
