Well a couple of months back i had an injured cory in the head. It was scraped badly and it died(i did a post on it). Last night i had baby molly and while i was putting them in the breeder, i noticed one of my cories stuck in the teeth of the scull cave. I managed to help him out of the skull but then i thought of inspecting the other cories and removing the cave. I noticed one of the cories had an injury on its right side. I felt devastated since this cory is the son of the female cory that died. It has some spongy thing on the wound. It is swimming like normal, however its colors have turned dark and dull and seems sad. I was thinking of maybe trying to remove the spongy thing on its side, maybe that will clean the wound or will it make it worse? I have removed the skull cave to prevent further injuries, however i would like to save this little guy, not only is he the son of my most priced cory(which is dead

Apply fungus medicine? If i should remove the cotton like substance, then how can i approach it without harming the little guy?
