Hi all!
I was feeding my rainbows the night before last,and as you probably know they are greedy feeders! I watched as one small praecox took a gobfull of krill and whilst he got through most of it,a krill or part of,came through the gill and is now stuck!
I spoke to my local specia;ists who advised tweezering it out.
I observed him yesterday to see if he would perhaps manage to shift it but to no avail,so this morning I netted him and had a go.The fish and gills are so small I simply couldnt clear the blockage for him! Im devastated! Hes back in tank now,not very happy,hes swimming but tending to stay in one place,he is eating.
Is there any more I can do to save this fish,Im gutted as such a silly thing to happen! Id like to say again,I watched this occur so its not a gill problem par se,ie flukes or anything.Any and I do mean ANY advice would be great,as I feel his days are numbered if I cant sort this,Thank you in advance!
