I was cleaning up around my tank today and noticed that three fish had jumped ship - two zebra danios and a male guppy.

Is it just coincedence that two danios hopped out or is there something I should be on the lookout for?

Also, one of the danios had a strange looking thing on it - it looked almost like a pill bug or a tick, with two legs (sadly, I didn't take a picture). Any idea what that might be? A parasite maybe? All the other fish look clean... It could have crawled on after it jumped out though.

check your water stats. fish often jump when the ammonia or nitrite get too high. they also jump if they're being bullied, and sometimes just because. get a lid. as for the bug... thing... it probably found the fish after it had jumped out.

What size tank is it and what other fish are you keeping with the danios and guppys? Also have you tested your water quality for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and ph?

Many things can cause a fish to jump out of their tanks, the fact that 3 fish of 2 different kinds jumped out of your tank in one day obviously means that something went amiss and we need to find out the cause to prevent it happening from again- danios are known jumpers, however male guppys are not so prone to jumping as danio's, soo...
