Riccia can grow both emersed and submersed- but with slightly different forms when grown in each way.

Here is a link that shows the different growth forms, depending on if grown emersed or submersed.

    Easy to grow! (Thumbs up!)

I like the look of the substrate. Does it stay like that or break down in the water?

This substrate is new to me. Im really liking it so far. It was recommended to me from a guy who is a avid shrimpkeeper.
And, so far, it has maintained its shape and isnt at all dusty.
Its attractive-- I like the brown, natural color.

The light on the tank in your picture? Is it doing the job for you ? Are you satisfied with it and can you mention some particulars about it ?
