When I set up my 64l tank last October Fluval had just brought out their new 06 range of canister filters, so I bought the 106 and it's excellent. Now I'm about to buy a Fluval Vicenza 260l package (very good deal!) which comes with the Fluval 305 and not the 306 which i would really like. I can't change the package so it's really just an academic interest in whether anyone out there has any views on the difference between the old and new???? Thanks.

I am interested in getting a 106 but I need to know how long the intake pipe is.Tried looking online but to no avail.
Could you tell me the size of it?
I would be very grateful

The pipes are plenty long enough for the canister to be well below the tank even if your tank is on quite a high surface - I cut quite a bit off! They have to be straight (can be angled a bit of course) but must not bend round a corner in any way. The pipe comes in one length and you cut it appropriately for the two lengths. It's a great filter.

I just bought a 105 and its about 14 inch I had to cut it down a bit

Would deffo recommend it only cost me £60 new and its fab sooo quiet compared to the interpet pf2 I had in before

Again that pipe was very long and I had to cut it down, as directed in the instructions, so that it wasn't too near the gravel. Hope that's helpful.
oh so you can cut them, that a relief

thanks for your help gforce, will probs get one of these now. I just love the multi compartment feature
