Fluval Tronic Or Visi-therm

I have ended up with 2 brand new heaters a fluval tronic 300w and a visi-therm 300w any one know which of these is the better. thanks in advance.

Hi,

I use a Tronic in my tank. Have had heaters stick on in the past, with the obvious results. I tend to go for the Tronics as Hagen do listen if the thing causes you problems. Usually fantastic customer service from them. I have an out of range Visitherm in my shed tank. It heats to 26 degrees and then wont come back on until it drops to 22 Still, it only heats my plants, so they don't seem to be too bothered by it. Both are fine heaters, just keep an eye on them, as you would with any heater. BTW, the Tronic seems to react much faster than my old heaters, as it uses an different method of control to conventional heaters. Hopefully that means a more stable temperature for my plants and fishies!

I had a tronic, but now all my heaters are Visitherm. Love them

I have found that visi-therm are just as good as tronics but cheaper.
however hagens aftersales service is second to none.
if it were me, I'd go tronic... no visi...no tronic... no visi.

I have kept tropicals for over 40years my last heater was a tronic. It cooked my fish,That was over two years ago and I haven,t had the heart to restock my tank since

i would use visi out of choice. there guarantee is about the best you can get also.

ive used manny manny tronics and they have all be fine with no problems, but every one has filled with condensation and water inside is never a good thing.

at the moment i have 4 300w heaters on my tank. 1 visi, 1 tronic and 2 ehime jagar (sp?). ive had all 4 for over ayear with no problems yet (touch wood!!).
