Fluval 405

Hey all...

i have just landed a really good deal on a second hand fluval 405, but it only has three baskets instead of four....is it ok to run with just 3 in?

I've got the 305 and you need the 3 baskets in that to stack and link to the inlet hole. Not sure if it's the same for the 405 but I dont think the designs vary greatly.

i got the 405 and dont think it would work properly without the 4th top basket because the hole in the lid of the top basket wont line up with the outlet

Theres a punchline to this, as i've been trying to buy the parts i need...namely a 4th basket and a lid for said basket...

You know what, Fluval/hagen DONT SELL THEM!!! I was like, #128###?!?!?!?

My LFS tried to get the parts for me from them and they actually told him that they dont sell them, they dont stock them and that he'd be better off looking in the returns cupboard to see if he had any!!!
I wouldnt mind but the 405 is still current. Its not like its an old model or ten years old or something daft!!
If i hadnt got it silly cheap, i would be looking at an ehieim just out of principle!!
