Flow Rate/ Current?

Lake tanganyika cichlids

Noticed most of my cichlids stay at 1 side of the tank. My filters are at the other end I think that it must be too harsh for them. Do cichlids dislike strong flow/current

Not that I was aware of. How strong are you talking about though?

1200l/h in a 50g plus a juwel bio flow 3.0 (not sure of flow rate)
I think it's around 600l/h so total would be at max 1800l/h. This is 9x total volume

I was hoping someone else would have chimed in here but I think cichlids don't have a problem with that sort of flow.
