Floating Plants

Hi

During the night a clump of water wisteria uprooted and is now at the top of the tank, but i think it looks realy nice. So would it be ok to leave it here, or do the roots need to be planted in the substrate?

Should be fine, but why not look into something like hornwort, water lettuce or salvinia?

Yeah, i've been looking for some water lettuce but none of my LFS sell any floating plants, and i don't realy want to order from online. Thanks

Try a garden centre which has a pond section, in the summer.It's out of season right now.
Not much help ATM.but hey.

Ive bought loads of plants online its great, give it ago, ebay is what i use

Water wistera can grow as a floating plant.

I might try buying from online in that case Thanks everyone, i've decided to let it keep floating, the fish love it

Floating plants are very good for bubble nesters and fish that like dim conditions.
