Floating Driftwood

i have a piece of driftwood i would love in my tank but it floats lol..

what should i 'soak' it in? would it ok to put in my tank once it does?

rinse it with boiling water, maker sure all the dust and loose stuff if removed. then soak it in old tank water. leave it till it sinks, and then put it in.
