Mine played with me at the LFS, he would do little flips when I touched the glass. As soon as I got him home to a bigger tank, all I ever saw were his little eyes looking at me from inside a little cave or crack.

same! really skecthed out fish i just look at him and he darts away.
 
Yup, he'll dart off somewhere but then he'll start peeking at you through a crack somewhere. They definitely have personality.
 
Lyden, didnt I read somewhere where you said cleaner shrimp are less likely to be eaten than other inverts? Or did this just apply to tetradons?
 
Cleaners of any species are less likely to be eaten, and indeed in the wild cleaner wrasses and shrimp are practically immune to predation. In aquaria things tend to break down, but if the potential predator is well-fed, the chances of the shrimp being eaten are largely reduced.
