Fishless Cyclin

If you can't getfish untill the weekend, you should add ammonia twice dayly to keep those presious bactiria fed. Look at it this way, at least you are able to ensure it is fully cycled now before fish go in, by making shure that ammonia and nitrite stay where they should. :hyper:
If moving the filter helped, then lack of air is probibly what did the stall earlier. It may also explain the loss of nitrate, if you filter went anairobic :good:

How does this look... Nitrite has now dropped to 1...

If in the morning it is 0, will i be able to go and get my fish? or do i have to keep adding ammonia for a few more days?

Agreed. As soon as nitrite hits 0, make sure ammonia is 0 too, 90% water change, and off to the fish shop you go! :good:

Brilliant, fingers crossed it hits 0 by tomorrow then. If i check in the morning, and both ammonia and nitrites are 0, how long can i leave it without adding fish? as the bacteria will start dyin off.

Also, FISH..... Tetra's and which other? ive asked this question so many times, but i know once i get to the fish shop they will sell me anything and everything, just want to be prepared and know what im going in to get.

Ammonia should be added every 12 hours, if it is pocessed to zero in that time, as you would while cycling, should you be unable to get fish for a while. Best thing to do, is look arround the lfs, ask them a few questions about ones you like, get their names, and then get us to second their advise to verify it's correctness :good:
