I have also bought seachem prime to declorinate my water as my nutrafin aqua plus had acrack in it and leeked every where
it says on the label that it detoxifies nitrite and nitrate. will this have an effect on my cycle

No problem for your cycle. Seachem Prime is probably the best dechlor/dechloram conditioner you can buy (its more concentrated than many of the others, so many feel it is a bargain among these products.) I believe the reason it doesn't hurt the cycling process is that all these conditioners change the ammonia into ammonium, which is less toxic to the fish but the bacteria find it just as good as a food. (hope I've got that tech part right, its a little early here )

Just tested my nitrites and it reads 0.25mg/l from5.0mg/l this morning this is good rite
