Hi Rabbut,

I have read so many different opinions on clown plecs. some say 6+, some say 2 some say 1. I'm very confused with it all. If I went for 2 plecs do you think I'll be overstocked? becky :D

6 Cardnial tetras - Swim anywhere
6 Rummy nose tetras - Swim anywhere
2 Clown Plecos - Swim 99% of the time on the bottom
1 Banded gourami - Mid to Top

Should be fine

In terms of "where do they swim" i find that depends on the type of fish and set-up, for example, my Corydoras in my community planted mostly swim at the bottom, while my zebra danio's are mostly at the top. If you could give us some examples of fish you are thinking about we may be able to take this forward

I'm thinking about 6 cardinal tetras, 6 rummy nose tetras, 2 clown plecs and a banded gourami. I'm quite new at fish keeping so I didn't want to overstock. I have plants and bogwood but it's not cluttered so still plenty of swimmimg room.

The Tetras will be mid to bottom levels. I find most plecos will go wherever there is algea. Banded gourami should be mid- to top level :good:

Two plecos should be OK

All the best
