Fish

I keep gourami's with them, i dont think they are really agressive.

nah at the mo iv only got 3 male guppys and 3 pygmy corys (hasborus) the sig needs changing thats what i was planning but now im thinkig of something to go woth the trio

ps: gouramis sound cool, dwarfs are a pain in the ..... to keep alive as we have experienced in our juwel so i think ill skip them...maybe honeys??

EDIT:

right been researching and i think that honey gouramis will be ok with the guppies i have, (i hope)
any opinnions about keeping a honey gourami with guppys?? and advice will be appreciated!

well keeping male guppies in low numbers is never good, so i would go with 5 guppies as that's the lowest number of males you can get away with, without the males hurting each other or bullying each other.

so on my suggestion i would have the tank like it is in your sig. i would still say it's overstocked but oh well.

I think if u went with gourami's, go with firered, they are beutiful!!!!

If you are gonna go with Gouramis I would go with a bigger tank. Your stocking is good for now with the 3 and 3 but if you add anything else you will be overstocked really, while you can keep an overstocked tank with good husbandry it's never much of a good idea.

no Qays i have only ever bought 3, the stocking in my sig. is my future stocking...the guppys all have perfect tails with no rips or tears + other members have even told me that the minimum for guppys is 5 males isnt always true..and only usually happens when you get a bad'en..and having more, well wouldnt that cause more trouble??

o and fadi do you mean fired honey gouramis or fired dwarf gouramis???

I'm confused. You said that's your future stocking. If so, then I wouldn't add anymore fish.

+ other members have even told me that the minimum for guppys is 5 males isnt always true..and only usually happens when you get a bad'en..and having more, well wouldnt that cause more trouble??

There are exceptions to every rule. However, 5 is the recommended minimum because it spreads out aggression. If you have an aggressive male, and one other male, that one is going to be killed. The more you have, the more aggression is spread out, so no one fish gets the brunt of everything.

right i have that aqua-40 tank with

3 male guppys
and
3 pygmy corys (hasborus)

i was planning to add 2 more male guppys then i would have finished the stocking with 5 male guppys and 3 pygmy corys...but i am now thinking of adding 1 different fish......hence the honey gourami idea :good

+ my guppys never ever fight or nip

Your surface area isnt really enough for anymore fish.
I suppose a honey gourami could work.
