In my 55 gallon fish tank, that im setting up, would these fish do well together. 1 x Gold Severum, 2 or 3 x dwarf gouramis, 1 x bushy nosed pleco, 1 x albino rainbow shark, and 1 x Black Ghost Knife Fish. I also have a question, Is it ok to get a clown loach because they grow really slowly so they might get eatin?

IMO, you could get clown loaches (at least 3), it will take so long for them to grow to a large size that you will either have gotten a larger tank or rehomed them. Don't get a black ghost knife, they get huge (24"+). Look for the African brown knife (Xenomystus nigri, max size: 8") which would be more suited to a 55g.

Actually, clown loaches grw pretty quick up until they reach about 6 inches, and thereafter their growth slows.

Unless they are placed in too small aquaria, then their growth will go slower.

They are great fish and its easy to get very attached to them. Be sure you will be willing to rehome them when they grow...

I like the African Brown Knife fish. Its pretty awsome and it dosn't get that big. :hyper: Only like 6". So do you guys think this is ok. 1 gold severum, 2 or 3 dwarf gouramis, 1 bristenose pleco, Im not sure about the clown loaches so I might get like a dojo loach or like 3 kuhlii loaches (maxsize like 3" or 4"). Can 2 rainbow sharks be in the same tank because I here that they don't like there own kind? If not, 2 rainbow sharks (1 albino and 1 not albino), and a African Brown Knife fish.

Would a butterfly loach do good in my tank and are they hard to take care of? :hey:

there afotn refered to as hill stream or borneo loaches, and no there not hard to take care of but the need fast flowing waters and a high oxygen content with large rocks in the tank.
