I couple of minutes after they eat the seem to spend a few minutes bringing the food back up and spitting it out. No other fish do this just the 2 male occelatus golds.

Any clues as to why?
I have 1 other occelatus but he's silva and 2 female golds that always hide so don't know if they are doing the same.

I've read on the internet: Fish aren't physically able to REGURGITATE their food - once it's gone down, it can't come back up which often causes problems with many fish who have big mouths.
Sometimes they are just tasting their food, sometimes the pellet or flakes are  too hard and they will spit it out a couple of times until it absorbs water and softens. Hope this helps.

It seams to come out of their gills all mashed up and cloudy

It's their way of chewing, some have rasps in the gill plates that break down food into smaller particles to get into their throat, there's always some loss from that chewing process.
