Fish In Tanks? No, Thanks! Peta Article

I've got one as well; very handy for emergencies/hospital/quarantine tanks.

None of my tanks have air running in them though. I suppose someone from Peta had better come around and liberate my poor fish, as I'm obviously condemning them to life of utter misery because they don't have any bubbles

They'd obviously be much better off in the wild, being chased by predators, stricken with untreated diseases and parasites and under constant threat from pollution, drought and starvation...

Same for my dog as well, I guess. After all, dogs have only been domesticated and bred to live with humans for 30 000 years. I'm sure he's really miserable, getting to sleep on my bed all day and being given regular health checks, food, hugs and the occasional cup of tea and biscuits

Oi, my dog isn't spoiled!

He only gets tea and biscuits if we've been out and it's snowing. Or raining. Or, you know.. a little bit chilly, even though he has a fleece lined coat (come on, he's a greyhound; he doesn't have much insulation  )

(Okay, yes he is, just a tiny bit ;)  :p )

I suppose someone ought to tell my cat that it's pets are spoilt, after all, I get regular meals and broadband internet.

I have an air pump+bubbler for my 17g. It's taller than it is wide so it was a death trap for cories until I put one in. My 30g has a hang along filter that gives the top plenty of agitation though so I haven't put an air pump in there.

On the internet, nobody will ever know that you're really a cat !

Wow, i guess that means we should also have screensaver chickens and cows lol. just educate the people in the hobby and you won't have the issue of unhealthy environments and tank sizes.
I know, right? :D
