Fish Id Please.

It looks like a shark version of a dora catfish. Really nice, take it to a the marine section and emergency section there are usually a few marine keepers that look there.

Hi,

Theres not enough water for him if i empty that into a large tub to float in tank. there will only be little water?

What could i do here to help the fish surive? will warmish water or old tank water from tropical fish tank and the bag water be ok? half of each?

Will this be ok??? and how long for?

Will it be ok till i setup a small tank for it?

What will i need to get ? and how much salt will be needed for a new setup?

Or will he live in the tub as long has changed and filters kept on and i get some marine salt?

Please let me know whats best way untill its setup and the setup help....

If it's marine then your best bet is to take it back asap. It will not survive for long without a properly maintained tank.

If you were thinking of setting up a marine tank for it don't bother. It's not regular salt. So you'd need to go to lfs to get it. You'll need ro water, either buying an expensive unit or buying some from the lfs. You'll need other equipment, live rock, and then about 4 weeks before you could put it in. And since you'll be lucky if it survives the night I think that may be too long. If it's still alive in the morning get it to a lfs.

Yes hes surving well...... normal behaviour and eating in the tub has suggested above.....

Iam looking into a tank to try start up a collection and save this fish......

Theres nothing local who will take him so maybe have go back to LFS tomorrow.
