did a full tank drop and boiled every think then use bottled water 90 in total lol but i know water all good had it tested and dump all the plants so need to buy new ,fish are a lot better as did them in a bath of finrot and so far only lost 1 little one im useing an ethim 2217 exteranl filter with a spray bar

scrap that waot a waste of time goinging to get another small tank and and put me plec and clown loach and cory in and shot tank down as there startint to drop again how much bad luck can i have

That old tank needs a proper sterilizing. But moving the fish with the disease in them will make no difference I am afraid.

it ok it just my guppies and swaords that are dieing but not to worrie goint to build a new stand and put a sump in the bottom just trying to get a little tank then the rest of the guppies and swords will just go then tank will be empty and then ill clean the tank and put new gravel bog wood and plants in after xmas so not going to let iit get to me so happy xmas to u and every one esle and ill put pick up after xmas of new set up

well wot a xmax woke up to ten fish die on xmas morning and every day after that 3 a morning water spot on filter gd heater gd but still keep loosing fish and they all keep die of wot seem to be fin rot and cotton mouth wot am i doing wrong

Hi Shepo
OK, do a 50% water change with a thorough gravel clean, now this is what i used and it worked for me and to this date the fish are still doing very well and getting stronger every day. Get a general tonic with Acriflavine & Methylene blue and follow the dosage guide, I only added 10ml to my 180lt but it should have been 27ml, i let this run in the tank for 4 days then i added carbon to the second filter to slowly run the med off, aslo increase the airation .
The General Tonic i used was by NTLabs and it is plant and filter safe but it does send your water lime green. The general tonic will remove the virulent pathogens that will be in the tank water and claims to aid the Gills of the fish, now this worked for me but in the first few days of treatment i still lost a couple of fish but after that the fish deaths stopped.
It is up to you if you do this or not .

do u no the name of the stuff u use and i have fresh water in and my gravel has been boil christmas eve so gravel and water sould be fine i think it keep going from fish to fish but not 100% sure cheers steve

Think of it this way, by the time your fish show signs of infection then it is already in the tank water so you dont treat the fish you treat the tank
