No, @JennySolano, I don't play the bagpipes. I have a friend who is a pro-level player, whose aid I frequently enlist on musical endeavors. Saves me the trouble of learning to play the crazy things myself.

Bagpipes are strange instruments that make such mournful sounds. Always played in US at funeral processions for police officers & some others.

If you want to play Irish trad, D is the way to go. Eb is good if you're playing much Scottish stuff, because you can play with highland pipes. C comes in handy for most other styles.

You had to be a certain age, live in a certain place and know the secret code word - or you weren’t allowed to join…

Im too old, in the wrong country, and (due to age) can’t remember secret code words
