do you order fish often? never done it before, i like to see what i'm getting, dose that make sence?

Shell will have them packaged well against the weather, hopefully with a nice heatpack to keep them snug! Fortunately its not -that- cold today, mine were sent out last Thursday and I had a mid panic later on in the evening as the temp dropped to minus 4 but they were fine and warm when they arrived :good:

its darn cold here in Wales though :(

Hope you get it sorted out! :(

I don't order fish from online stores, only breeders - and I see photos of the actual fish first. :good:

They should be alright, even if they are delivered tomorrow. The worst I'd expect was some damaged fins unless some stupid postman has rattled them about. Think about it, they're travelling in a van/truck or sitting in a post office, not outside so they should be fine.

pets at home from now on lol i cant be doing with the ear bashing lol

Maybe Royal mail should rename nextday delivery to

nextday or maybe the day after,or when we feel like it :/

Right a couple of points to be made here.

1. Most companies who mail fish do not send in this weather due to it being to cold even with heat pack so that was silly (even if they are bettas lol)
2. What is the OP doing sending them via royal mail for one if royal mail were to find out they will go balistic at you and its not there policy so if they do not know they are fish they will not get treated that way so will be thrown around and all sorts.
3. There are plenty of courier companies that will send live fish and will have it to you before 12pm APC for 1.

This is how the box should look if your not trying to be dodgy and save yourself a few quid posting them through royal mail I had to reach round the corner as there was stuff in the way but you get the idea this is how I send fish and recieve them.

A.
the sender sent the fish this late into winter due to them being a birthday gift it is her last post of fish till next year!!
B.
the sender isnt a company but a normal person who breeds as a hobby and you have pretty much shredded her name!
she is a well known member here and im sure people would love to hear you talk about her!

C.
Unlike other breeders who breed for profit Devon_Charm (shell) breeds and LOVES her fish....
and would NEVER do anything that would risk her fish being harmed!!!

P.S nice box veeeery pretty

I dont care who she is and whos birthday it is its to cold to post fish. And she isnt that great as she is sending fish through the royal mail who DO NOT send fish meaning they do not know that there livestock and they wont be treated that way if she is that much of a great person why are they not being sent through a courier who do deal in livestock.
