First off HAPPY NEW YEARS TO EVERYBODY!
Hope you have a wonderful and prosperous year!

Ok now - rather stupid question but

There is so much fireworks outside, my fish seem to be going wild when it happens, is there anything I could do to stop them from being so stressed?
There banging their heads into the glass when it happens.

Thanks

Not a huge amount you can do they will be reacting to the subsonic noise made by the fire crackers/ fire works. If there light is on turn it off and leave them in the dark.

I hate to disagree with other posters on here (but I'm going to anyway!). My old GSD loathed fireworks, and the worst thing you could do was shut her in the dark and quiet. I'd suggest you do a similar thing to what I did with the dog and keep the lights on, and play some loud, preferably rock type, music.

That will drown out the worst of the explosive notes of the noise, and should help them feel less stressed.

Never something I've ever thought of actually.
I would have thought turning the lights off would have been a good thing but now I can understand FM's post.
