My fire mouth has developed this white patch on his “nose” it’s definitely the skin and doesn’t seem to be fuzzy. Not sure if he has been fighting with my blue acara they normally get on but the fire mouth dose chase the acara from time to time or has banged into a bit of decor? Any thoughts?

I've seen it, and have never really solved it. I think it's several things - a bacterial infection or a possible fungal one. It can be the skin, but it can also be the sinus. Sometimes, it clears with aggressive water changing and less crowding. Most of the time, it kills, especially if the infection from the injury gets into the sinus area internally.

That’s certainly an interesting assortment of fish in those pictures . That’s a beautiful Firemouth despite the thing on his nose .
