Hi everybody!
For 2 months now, I have been looking for the ideal filter for my to-be 180 litre planted bowfront tank. After I finally decided that the Marineland C-220 (alias Tetratec EX700) was my choice, the struggle only just begun! Although the brand Marineland is sold in Mexico, these filters are not available here (only come hang on filters), and all the internet addresses in the US I found were not willing to take foreign credit cards and/or ship outside the US.
I found after weeks a real bargain deal on Ebay (79 USD for this filter), and was really determined to get it. Got myself a shipping address in Laredo, Texas through a Mexican friend that makes regular trips from Laredo into Mexico. Personnel in this shop (MOnsterpets in Philadelphia) were really friendly and willing to help, because I was not allowed to buy it of Ebay as I have a foreign registered ID. However, they said that they only needed the Texas address, and a valid credit card number, and BINGO!
Today I ordered it, and for a total of 99 USD (including shipping) I am soon the proud owner of a Marineland canister filter! Can't wait to see it!
Just wanted to share this with you all....
