I've finally manged to divide my AQ3 and the impatient hubby wanted a blue fish (his words not mine) so I agreed he can have one half I'll have the other lol. So meet Eros the hubby's Betta. My side is waiting for that special someone :D

Excuse rubbish pics he likes to move away lol

Looks cool

How did you divide the tank? Is that just wedged in there?

Thank you

I had hubby cutting and shaping the thing for an age and its a although it was a tight fit we used a bit of aquarium silicone at the bottom and top just to make sure it doesn't move.

That looks great Mel.....and Eros is gorgeous :good:

Hubbys are useful at doing stuff like that too and it keeps him involved

Thank you Everyone :D

Yes Netty he does seem more interested now. We have also put a tube from the filter into the other side. We didn't want to turn the filter up and have Ero's in a whirpool LOL But we couldn't see any current on the other side. Although nobodys living in there atm I want it ready for when that prefect man comes into my life

That's a good idea.....it would be awful if you found your perfect one and had no where to put him  We use the tubes like that too.....even little Nemo copes fine with the minimal flow that comes out :good:

Awww bless him I was just reading that thread he is definetely a miracle. :D

I think it might be empty for a while. We couldn't get new lights for the aq3 apparently everywhere I tried had sold out so I had to buy moonlight (Blue). So I would love a white or light gold / yellow halfmoon betta as he would shine beautifully in there. Not the must common colouring lol.

I know what you mean....that colouring would look great. We've got one similar to that with dragon scaling that looks like it may be a male at the moment. Just not sure what tail type he's going to be yet. His scales just shine in the light like he's been gold plated

Ohhhhhh when he develops a bit more you'll have to send me a pic. :D

Lol....just took one to show you. I'm leaning towards male at the moment but should know for sure in a few weeks time. So far he's showing no colour in his fins at all.

Ooooo Shiney.... so beautiful!!! I say the same thing in front of Engagement ring shops but I only get dragged by the arm in the opposite direction! haha

  keep trying....you'll wear him down eventually!!!

Ohhhhh WOW he would look lovely under blue light :hey: One hopes he doesn't gain too much colour  He's so shimmery

I'm fairly confident that he wont get any colour now....most of the others you can see hints of colour in their fins but a few others have no colour at all. He'll more than likely be like Mum for colouring.
