Fin Rot

Ugh 2 questions in less than 24 hours... I'm such a noob I recently bought two lyre swordtails (at least thats what they were called in the shop) Within a day I noticed one of the tail fins of one had shortened slightly - I figured another fish may just have bitten it. 2 days later the top half of the fin has almost completely disappeared and the other one is showing signs of fin rot on it's pectoral fin. I've since googled it and basically the common solution is just to do lots of water changes and get some medicine. However I wont be able to get the medicine anytime soon so should I just remove the swordtails from the tank?

If you remove them from the tank what would you do with them?

and if you can`t get hold of amy meds for a few days just do frequent water changes and keep them in a clean enviroment as much as is possible. untill you can get the meds.

what other tank mates are they with?

and what are your readings for:

ammonia?

nitrite?

nitrate?

Ph?

You really need to medicate this as tbh I doubt water changes would do much with it...

Is there no way you can get medication? I always always make sure I have some meds spare and if not atleast a little money aside for such circumstances, fish rely on us to care for them.
