I'm not sure what fish you have, or how they like currents, but if they don't mind you could try putting an airstone or two in the tank, I use tank Ornaments to keep mine under a thin layer of gravel. I'm not sure if you could get an extention or whatnot for your filters? I like the flat round airstones.. Not sure about them facing eachother either... you could try leaving the one on the side and move the other to the back of the tank and see if that helps or not. with the two facing eachother the currents -should- be in a circular motion, which might make the very middle of the bottom a 'dead current' area. Anyone else have any ideas?
