I'm setting up a 200gal tank for fancy goldfish. I got a fluval 405 with it, which is good for about 100gal. I would like to be able to have all filtration working from one end of the tank if I can so I'm looking for opinions on what kind of filter to add and if it's ok to have 2 filters running at the same end.

Go ahead and add another filter. There is no problem having 2 filters at the same end if your fish can take the currents involved.

even fancies are dirty fish.
i'd look at a considerable upgrade in your filter thoughts.
though fitting two (of any type) presents no problems. apart from my first 12 months, or so. i have always had two cannisters.

What would a considerable upgrade be?
