Filter Question

Hi,

Would I be able to use the same external filter from a Juwel 190 corner tank for a Juwel 400 litre tank?

Its really big just wondering if it will be ok?

I believe it depends on how powerful the filter is. In terms of litres per hour.

It should be OK , but you would need 2-3 of those Juwel 190 filters as one is not enough on a 400 litre tank
You can't use 1 filter which is made for a 190 litre tank on a 400 litre tank

How many litres would I need per hour?

It might not be the standard Juwel 190 filter so I will check as it might be better.

How much are the 400 litre filters to buy roughly?

A Tetratec EX1200 would just about be enough-it costs around £100
A better choice is Tetratec EX2400- which costs around £150
Or you can use the Juwel 190 filter and the EX1200 together and it will be fine

Hi,

In my tank at the moment I have an aqua pro 2 external filter. It says on the side 800 l/h.

Is this going to be ok for a Juwel 400 litre?
