Filter Not Running As Fast

I have just changed my tank from gravel to sand, whilst i had my fish out of the tank i placed my filter in the bucket with fish but the filter had to be laying down. Now i have put the filter back in my tank and it does not seem to be flowing at the same speed?

Give it a good scrub in old tank water, using a brush around the impeller parts, and also the uptake. I just did this with mine and it made a world of difference.

I get that if sometimes and just take it out open it and pop it back again. It might be that or really dirty, if it's too plugged up with mulm that can slow it down.
