Evening all

I have aquired two Eheim 2213 filters from my Uncle - they are missing outlet and inlet pipes (these are fairly cheap to get) - and I need to get new media for them.

The trouble is I am not sure what I need to be looking out for and what type to get, and what one does over another.

This website http://www.arkpetsonline.co.uk/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=Eheim%202213&inc_subcat=0&sort=20a&page=all
has several types, but as I have said, not sure what I need to put into these filters as I have never used external filters before.

Your help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

All you need is filter foam, coarse at the inlet and fine at the outlet. It's cheap, it does the job.

And perhaps some filter wool at the very end to polish the water.

Let the discussion begin!
