Filter Help

Hi all long time since i was on here but need a bit of help again. At the moment i have a fluval 3 internal filter but have had a fluval 4 in the loft that i have been meaning to swop with the fluval 3. Is it possible to just put some of the media from the 3 into the 4 and just swop the straight over?

if its a 3plus and a 4 plus you can just swap the pads straight over all you need to do is cut a piece of pad to fit the small gap at the bottom
