He's about as wild-caught as... umm... a long-fin dyed albino oscar. Wild splendens look nothing like that, plus they're pretty rare to find. He was having you on

He's lovely though, deffo a guy. I went male spotting in the female tank, saw a promising few, but after one of my ladyboys decided to be a VT, I didn't get one.

ok /me tallys cost of travel to oxford and dicided that arounds £100 is not worth it for a betta

AnneRiceBowl is right it's a traditional plakat and BW yes he has a fighter line but he was crossed with a fancy traditional plakat.
