I’m pretty sure this is a male and I only gave male guppies. I’ve noted his gonopodium appears to be present. But there also seems to be a slight gravid spot and the belly is quite large and appears to be squaring off.

Can someone tell me what’s going on.

That's a male. And it's not a gravid spot (it's also not a pseudo gravid spot) but a guppy mark that more males can develop. His chest seems well developed. Maybe a good eater.

I was super weirded out. Because he was being chased by the other males and then this. So strange. Lol

Well, males tend to harass other males as well when dominance occurs.

I know it’s not supposed to be contagious. But I have lost two to dropsy. Now one of my gourami have it. And I’m pretty sure another danio.

Dropsy "can" be contagious, tbh...

Dropsy is a symptom of an underlying disease rather than a disease itself. If the underlying disease is contagious, more than one fish could develop dropsy.

Dropsy is when the underlying disease causes kidney failure. Not every fish which catches the disease will go on to develop kidney failure but the potential is there.

My issues is finding out who has something before it turns into dropsy and infects more of my fish.

I totally agree. That's why I deliberately have put the word "can" between brackets in my reply.

That's the problem - finding out what the underlying disease is so it can be treated before it becomes serious. Unfortunately, if the disease is viral, there is no treatment; if it's bacterial, which bacteria and what's the appropriate antibiotic; if it's protozoan, again which one.
So many internal diseases show no external signs or symptoms until it's too late.
