Feel So Guilty

i know but i do wish i got him, but i just have to find another in need of rescuing when i have more room from all the guppy fry

I totaly understand that feeling of guilt. But you couldn't help that your other fish got knocked up while you were gone. It just doesn't sit right and I understand that but if you think "Someone good and who knows what they're doing got the fish and they're giving him a loving home," you'll feel a lot better. G2G class is almost over. In the library and about to leave, c-ya.

I feel the same way. I feel guilty every time I see my sister's betta in his little jar in the kitchen, laying at the bottom and looking unhealthy. It's so hard to be a betta enthusiast knowing how some of them are kept.
*supportive hugs*

I FORCED my cousin to get at least a 2 gallon when I saw her betta in that little plastic hut! Have you seen them? It's rediculous, they hold less than a McDonalds small cup! The box says, and I quote, "Siamese Fighting fish are native to Thailand. In the wild, they live in puddles and rice patties, so they will be happy and healthy in this tank." What a crock that rubbish this is! Have you seen them?
Oh and go here to see some the other crap they say bettas will love.
This site has a Lava Lamp thing that you can put a betta in. Isn't it disgusting what they do to these poor fish? Now you tell me, would you do that? That's pure novelty and nothing else, at least some bettas are bought by people like us who understand that they aren't a f***ing toy! And I know in my blackest of black hearts ( in the little red part ) that a betta like that will go to a loving home, be cared for properly, and fixed up good as new. They won't end up in some f***ed up little lavarium thing like that poor fish in the picture.

Next time your out that way, definetly get a betta --guppies get pregnant pretty much every 3 weeks for me, so i just try to make them not get pregnnat!
i actually am considering buying a betta to get rid of the fry!!! because i have so many!

Ah lilfishie I was the same when we went to Torquay a year or so ago I kept going back to this shop to look at this poor fish, but he was so Ill he wouldn't have made it home. I love buying fish away I have 2 that i got different times from Yarmouth. Going down Torquay way this year, Paignton....might just have to look down there. ps just happen to drop a little packet of fish food and tap conditioner in my suitcase when I go...also put yorkies biscuits in a plastic tub...so they carry better.. :hyper: :hyper:
