I already tried feeding them live mosquito larva to no avail.

Your fish should eat live Daphnia no problem

Assuming they won't eat it and all of the daphnia dies, will they foul the water?

it's hard to belaeve your swordtails don't eat mosquito larva if they dont eat live Daphnia

LOL You said it fish48! If they won't eat daphnia, I guess i'm stuck to feeding them flakes.
I'll just pour the colony directly to the tank right?
