Feeding Problem With My Oscars

Lol I am sorry, that does not look like a 90 gallon tank at all.

well take a pic for ur face then tell me if it like the real size

i hope any live creature put a " useful " thing or just read

thanx 4 passin

i feed my oscars a mix of oscar pellets and pond sticks as their 'basic' diet. they get this 1 x a day every day.
in addition to this they have chopped vegetables (cucumer, peas, green beans, chicory, brocalli etc) a few times per week, frozen blood worms and brineshrimp a few times per week and things like pangasius fillet/pollack/tinned tuna or sardines 1 x per week. if i can afford it i also get them mussels and shrimps now and then. oscars really do need a varied diet.

minimum tank size for one oscar is really 75 gallons you really do need to rehome some :( they grow very quickly and can soon reach 24cm+!

wow good jop ,, im sure ur oscars r healthy ^^

yeah its sad to rehome them but im gonna try to get all the money i can get to buy another tank

thanx for sharing this info

hmmm yet again, i think we are faced with one of those areas whereby we in the know, or know a little......think......hmm this isnt going to end well. I agree with markandhisfish, nelly and the others

and before any says...yes, i have kept oscars before, but certainly not that many...gawd

well a 55 works fine for a single oscar if good filtration and good maintenace =)
and 2 oscars is around 90 gallons with good filtration and maintenace also.

I think people like to recommend 75g for a single and a 120g for two, if I am correct, not a huge Oscar guy myself.

Yep 75g minimum IMO for a single O, 120+ for two, with great filtration and strict maintenance regime.

i agree 75g minimum (55 is too small for a fully grown oscars long term housing)
