No,They need to be fed live foods.Mw's and bbs are the best.I think you need to do alot more revision before breeding.

They can eat microworms, vinegar eels, infusoria, smashed egg yolk, decapsulated brine shrimp, and live baby brine shrimp. The best way to feed would be to use the MWs when freshly hatched. Move up to vinegar eels and then start BBS at about 2 weeks old. Feed them a variety and remember if you use egg yolk it fouls up the water real bad so water changes are crucuial.
