i was just wondering what everyones favorite type of ornament for a fish tank is, do you guys prefer natural stuff like rocks, plants and bogwood. or do you like sunken ships, 'action' air stuff (bubblin' divers etc), or do you prefer home made stuff like plant pots, cocanut caves and what not?
my personal favorite was a aquired on a recent trip to crete, its a hand made clay hoplite helmet and i kept lookin at it all week, every time i went past i was debating wether to buy it or not, and on the last day my girlfriend bought it me
unfortunatly on the way come it broke into about 20 pieces so i stuck it together with some (non toxic, water proof) glue, and it now has a small hole where i couldnt get the last piece in but it now looks as though a greek warrior was killed and his helmet rolled into a river or something. it looks great amongst my plants (imo).
(I only put it in my tank as it was clay and from a pottery class i took once i know that clay is inert and wouldnt leech anything into the water ever. And i dont advise putting anything in your tank without cleaning it first!!)
so what are your favorite types of ornament?
