Looking in to getting an external filter for my 100L tank.

I'm preferably looking to over filter it as knowing myself as well as i do ill end up upgrading before long.

Can anyone recommend ones to look at please? I have a budget of £100 maybe abit more.

All i keep seeing is people blowing the trumpet of their own filters which isn't helping me one bit.

Thanks :D

over filtering doesn't help anything....all it does is waste electricity....

you may often hear the MYTH "you can never have too much filteration"....it is just that....A MYTH!

yes you can have too much filteration....and it can come to a point where its actually couter productive

can i ask what the problem is with your current filter?.....chances are its more than adequate for your tank

most peoples "water problems" or "filter issues" turn out to be nothing but user error....

and if thats the case, more filters, or more powerful filters will not help one bit

Am fairly sure you couldn't over filter a tank. There's a few members that use an extra filter to act as a powerhead with no issues.

Its nothing to do with water quality etc.

I got a starter kit supplied with an internal filter which i cant stand as its taking up valuable space and is unsightly.

It also states its max output is 450L/H which in reality is obviously going to be lower.
